I’m nonstop. Always on the go. My mom often reminds me to eat because she's afraid I'll forget. Trust me, mom, I’ll never forget.

Born and raised in New Jersey, I attended Rutgers University (GO KNIGHTS) which is where I jump started my career in radio! As a student, I was fortunate enough to land an internship at Z100 New York and Elvis Duran and the Morning Show - the exact show that made me fall in love with radio at 10-years-old. A month before graduation I got the news that I was being hired full time, and the rest is history!

 

Throughout the six years I spent working for Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, I hustled my butt off. I did everything in my power to soak in all the knowledge I could about radio – both on and off the air. In 2014, I started a podcast with my co-worker, Anthony, to get some more experience. To our surprise our podcast, MyDayFriday, actually took off! Two years later we found ourselves driving cross-country to Seattle where we had landed our own morning show "The Carla Marie & Anthony Show." After four years of hustling we were let go and now we are on to the next chapter. What is it? I have no idea but I'm embracing the free time to clear my head and find the next thing I'm going to kick ass doing! We've been doing our show on Twitch, a livestreaming platform, and we've been having a blast!

 

In 2018 I launched my Side Hustlers podcast, where I talk to people who are following their passion and working on a business other than their day job! I am so proud of this podcast and I'm grateful for what each guest has taught me, when things seem like they are at their worst, something really amazing is about to happen!

I created this blog to share more about who I am, what I love; travel, fashion, fitness and navigating being unemployed for the first time ever and of course to connect with everyone who’s chosen to support me on this wild ride. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
